Jr. Farmer Days is a specially designed education program for children ages 6-9. Our goal is to help children connect to farming through talks, videos and hands on experiences. The class is spread over three consecutive Wednesdays in July, running from 10-noon. The cost is $25.00 per child for the total program or $10.00 per class. Class size is limited to 20. Below is the curriculum and dates for 2011.
July 13th: "Dirt".........how important is good dirt in raising crops
July 20th: "Plants" ..........study of plant structure and nurture. July 27th: "Field to Fork" (hands on cooking class with Chef Dawn)
Payment will be due at the time of the first class.
Cancellations: If you need to cancel, it must be done by e-mail by July 1st; otherwise a penalty of $10.00 per child will be charged.
